Is there a way to check if an administrator of a will is administering things according to the will?

This is tough. You can ask for a copy of the will at Probate Court if probate is opened. You just have to produce ID. Then you can know what is supposed to be done but not what actually has been done. If time pes and you feel that things are not right, you can ask the Probate Court to replace the administrator.
