Types of plants for a steep bank?

try phlox its a ground cover and it blooms with little purple flowers. also you might want to try and do some shelving with landscape rocks. kind of the terrace look. any low laying plants even some shrubs will help with the dirt washing away. I might suggest you go to stores like Earl May where they have actual plants you can look at and see which might work best for the area you are wanting to plant. good luck.
