Looking for legal help in Omaha for custody?
Ok, bear with me. My ex-husband has custody of our daughter. I live in Omaha. I don't know what state he permanently resides in, but I do know that in the last year he has lived in Indiana, Oregon, and Washington, and he has owned a house in Omaha the whole time. He has told me that he has brain cancer. He is selling his house in OMaha and moving to Oregon, supposedly. He has not followed the visitation schedule, and never got it changed when he moved out of state. Also, he wasn't supposed to move out of state, because in Nebraska, the custodial parent can't move out of state without permission from the court. I chose not to have custody when we were getting divorced because I couldn't afford a lawyer to fight him, I was still in school and I was working nights. I want my daughter with me and near her grandparents (my ex's parents) now. I can't afford to pay a lawyer right now, but I will as soon as I get a job. He is in state for the next two months. Lawyers in Omaha? Help? Please!
